A Dark and Stormy Night -- Short Story

This was probably my favorite short story that i wrote in 4th grade by far. (I wrote this in 2001, but in the fall, so i was still in fourth grade) I rememer i was all proud of myself when i wrote it all by myself and when i read it out loud, i was quiet so the class was listening, and then (on queue, in the part of the story) shouted "IM HOME" and it scared the class! even the teacher was startled LOL (and notice how ive used like family and friends names in all my old stories...haha) Enjoy! :)

A Dark and Stormy Night

One night last October, my dad phoned from the office saying he had to work in late. My mom was already at her book club, so my dad told me I was in charge until he got home. I was a little nervous, because I have only watched my brother and sister a couple of times before. As I started to make some sandwiches for dinner, I heard my brother and sister fighting over the TV. They each wanted to watch a different old, scary movie.

“I want to watch The Mummy” Michael said.

“Well I want to watch Frankenstein.” Katelyn argued back.

“You guys, we can watch both of them, since its Friday. We can stay up late” I replied.

“Hurray!” They shouted together.

A little while later, it started to rain. Thunder echoed throughout the creaky house, and lighting flashed through windows. Then the power suddenly went out and so did the TV. Michael and Katelyn started screaming.

” Calm down” I told them “it’s just a power outage.” The lights will be back on in no time.

All of a sudden, we heard footsteps on the front porch, then the door handle being jiggled, the wind was howling at the moon, and the trees’ branches scraping against the window made the dark house really scary. My heart was pounding and sister and brother were crying.
“Someone is on the front porch.” I whispered “we need to be quiet”

”I’m scared.” Katelyn said as she covered her eyes and ears.

“I wish the lights would come on” Michael said as he squeezed his bear tight.

We were so frightened that we all huddled up in the middle of the living room, with a few blankets draped over us. All of a sudden, the sound of a key unlocking a door handle came from the front of the room. Then, the door knob turned, and someone barged through the door, we could not see who it was. Then lighting flashed and a loud voice shouted;

“I'M HOME!!!!!!!!”

“Dad!!!” we all shouted as we rushed to him for safety.

Then I said, “Dad, we all thought you were a monster! Why didn’t you tell us that you were trying to get in?”

“Well, I tried calling, but the phone was dead.” He explained.

Just then the light came back on and we all breathed a sigh of relief.

“I am so glad you are home dad!”

“Me too” he said. Then we all sat down with some popcorn and watched our old scary movies together.

Bufo's Story -- Poem

Hey again. Here's a poem i found i made in 6th grade (2004) about a girl and a toad O_o ...dont ask me how i came up with these things....i actually didnt remember them until i was browsing through old files LOL (And if u didnt already know, Bufo is a toad and actually i think theres a book about him...) So here is the poem, Bufo's Story.

Bufo's Story

Early one morn,
I felt kind of torn.
I did not know which way to walk,
And all of a sudden, I heard someone talk.
So I looked down and stopped clumsily,
And saw something jump quite quickly.
“Oh,” said the toad, Bufo, all brown and bumpy,
I said “eek, you are all weird and lumpy!”
The toad cried “You almost stepped on me!”
“I am sorry,” I said on bended knee.
I asked “Where is your home?
Where do you roam?
Can I follow,
You back to your hallow?”
“I am sorry,” he said
You need to go to bed,
Where I go, you can not follow.
Later on that night,
I thought with all my might;
Will I ever see my brown friend again?
When the flowers of spring began,
I saw him by the old log,
I saw Bufo and his family of twenty-two,
Green all over, with specks of blue.
And when I asked him where he’d been,
He replied “look down, below your chin.”
Just as he described it, was a little frog den,
About the size of a brown, female hen.

Caterella and the Magic Cat Collar -- Short Story

Hey guys! Well, this post is a story I wrote in fourth grade (2002) for a homework assignment. It's basically the Cinderella story, but related to...what else? Cats. Yeah, yeah, I know the grammer may be wrong or parts are confusing, but i just wanted to post the story as it was. I thought it was cute, you know, for me being in only fourth grade and all. It made me smile, and I hope you find it interesting as well. So without further adue, here it is.

Caterella and the Magic Collar

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Katelyn. She worked in her stepmother’s pet shop with two older stepsisters. Her sisters did not like her very well, so they called her Caterella and gave her stinky jobs to do like changing the litter boxes and cleaning cages.

Each week, a very handsome veterinarian named Brad would come into the pet shop to buy supplies. Caterella thought he was very nice and very handsome, but he never noticed her because she was always covered in dirt and grime. The stepsisters always kept Caterella in the back room whenever the vet came in.

One day while reading a magazine, Caterella saw an advertisement for a cat show where the handsome vet was going to be a judge.

Caterella’s two stepsisters Emily and Annie had beautiful cats and were getting them ready for the cat show.

Caterella wanted to go to the show too, but all she had was a skinny, scruffy calico cat named Sasha. She knew she could not go the cat show with a cat that looked like that.

One day when Caterella was alone in the pet store, a salesman walked in selling cat collars. “Would you like to buy a cat collar?” asked the salesman. “No thank you, not today” Caterella replied. “Oh, but this is a special collar. It makes any cat who wears it beautiful.”

"That sounds nice. With a collar like that, I could go to the cat show. I will take one.” “Okay,” said the salesman, “but be careful, if the collar falls off, the cat will turn ugly again.”

The next day was the cat show and Caterella had the most beautiful cat at the cat show.

Brad was just about to give Caterella the prize when all of a sudden, her jealous stepsisters ripped off the collar from Caterella’s cat.

Frightened, Caterella grabbed Sasha and ran out of the room, leaving one of her slippers behind. All that was left was the collar, her slipper and her laughing stepsisters. In all the commotion, the cat collar fell into the slipper and was accidentally kicked into the corner.

The next day, when Brad was cleaning up, he found the missing slipper with the magic collar inside.

Brad thought, “whoever was wearing this collar is the winner of the cat show and whoever was wearing this slipper is the winner of my heart.”

So Brad started going through the town trying the collar on every cat he met, and the slipper on every owner.

Finally, he came to the pet shop. Brad told Emily and Annie all about the collar, so the stepsisters brought out their cats hoping the collar would fit. Brad tried the collar on each cat and the slipper on every foot, but they were way too small.

“Is there anyone else who has a cat here?” asked Brad. “No, only our stepsister Caterella, but she is too dirty and grimy and her cat is too skinny and scruffy to be in a cat show!” laughed the stepsisters. “Well, bring her out, I want to try anyway,” Brad said.

Caterella came out holding Sasha in her arms.

Brad smiled and put the collar on Sasha, and all of a sudden, Sasha became beautiful!

Then Brad tried the slipper on Caterella, and she became beautiful!

Brad knew he had found the winner of the cat show and the girl of his dreams! Brad asked Caterella to marry him and she said “Yes!” so they were married that very day...

...and lived happily ever after!

You'd think I'd be all happy bc i just did a math problem when i dont have math class this semester. well i would be, if the numbers didnt stand for my cats.

yep, thats right, a few sundays ago, our cat Sasha (17 1/2) died. It was her time to go and it was really sad, but we'll remember her always. :) Isabella doesnt seem too lonely--shes got my brother to attack now. Poor ol' Sasha will rest in peace and in our hearts. Maybe she went to Pet Heaven. Idk.

Eagle Eye Movie...again!!!

Hey guys, it's Rachael!

We're going to try to see Eagle Eye (again) this Sunday, November 16!!!

(If you didn't already know, we tried to go see this movie a few weeks ago, but I failed to check the movie times closer to the date. It was changed to another time, so I had people showing up for a movie time that didn't exist. Sorry, again, to those of you who did show up and found that out!) That’s why this time we’re not going to pick a certain time, but it will most likely be sometime after Church (so like after 12:30-ish). Right now, the closest time is 3:55, but, again, it will probably change. So if you want to go, keep the rest of your Sunday open! If the show times do happen to change last minute, I will try to send another email saying so, but it would be safer to check the Century 14 Roseville website frequently. (Go to http://www.fandango.com/TheaterPage.aspx?date=6/23/2005&tid=AAGBA and click on Eagle Eye). We’ll meet outside the theater at least 15-20 minutes prior to the movie. And since it’s been out for a while, we don’t have to worry about it being sold out, so you can buy tickets at the door.

If you can't/don't want to come, I totally understand. If you do want to come, you are more than welcome. I just want to let you all know that we're going and we don’t want anyone left out. This is just kind of a "show-up-and-see-a-movie-with-your-friends" kind of thing. You can also bring other friends if you want as well!

YOUTH GROUP MOVIE! can you come?

Hey guys, I've been thinking...we haven't had anything fun to do lately ever since the movie night at BJs, so I came up with a solution: we can go see a movie @ the movie theaters!

We were planning on going to see Eagle Eye starring Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monahgan on October 19th (2008) --which is a Sunday...if you didn't know....
It will be the 1:50pm show (after Church) and I think it's a matinee price, which is good. It's at the Century 14 in Roseville on 1555 Eureka Road (95661)

SCHEDULE CHANGE FOR THE DR SEUSS MUSICAL

so apparently we weren't able to go...to the musical i mean.....
so this is good news, i guess.....

what happened was that another group was booked for this night (tonight, sunday 9/7) and they had only so many seats, so we couldnt go....[we got four free tickets-for me helping out-and its a "scheduled time" so they had to move it bc of the big party]

so that means that for any of you (if there was any LOL) still want to go, leave a comment or email/call me and we'll get you tickets (same rates apply, even if we get a group, we could get a discount)

soooo ya. the new date is either gonna be next saturday 9/13 or sunday 9/14--whichever dates work best....

SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL

Hey guys! The Fair oaks Theatre is putting on a play called Seussical the Musical!!! If you dont know what that is, its simply a combination Dr. Suess books all put together into one cute, musical play! I havnt seen the full play yet, but i did get to see the actors practice. Yep, thats right. It was really cool! Ok so what happend was my Aunt Dar (whos really my moms best friend since forever, and not my real aunt) is an artist who paints the background scenery for the plays put on there, and she asked me one time to help her-so i did. yay! it was really fun and cool and i earned the title in the playbill "Assistant Scenic Artist #2" LOL

but enough about me, i made this post so i could ask u guys if u all wanna go see it? it runs August 15-September 14 Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are:
General $15
Students/seniors $13 (bring an ID card i guess)
children (12 and under) $8

and i think we can call someone to get a group discount if enough of u want to come!

My family was thinking of going Sunday September 7
they let u in @ 7 (first come first serve)-starts at 7:30 and ends about 9:00 so we should be home around 9:30

One night, a young couple go on a first date to their favorite fancy resturaunt. When they arrive, they are seated at a table for two. They order drinks to start. While the waitress goes to get their orders, they converse some and find out they have a few things in common. After some more talking, they order appitizers and eventually dinner. The whole while they talk, and talk, and talk some more and find more and more things they have in common. Both are enjoying their food and the time they are spending together. A long while later, feeling full and content, the two sit back and smile admiringly at each other. They both think to themselves that it has been the perfect night and it couldn't have gone any better. With these thoughts still running through the girl's head, the boy reaches out across the table to hold her hands. He looks her in the eyes, he takes a deep breath, and says...."are you gonna finish that?"

LINK CR3W 2008

hey guys! yes-im back!! (again? lol) ok so this past week was SUPER BUSY!!!! *sigh* i need to take a breather!!!
ok so monday and tuesday were link crew training days. yes, link crew TRAINING. "whats link crew", you ask? well it is, in fact, a program dedicated to helping freshmen find their way around the campus and connecting with upperclassmen on the day of the Grizzly Retreat. ok, now lemme say it in english: a bunch of jrs and srs get together on one day with freshmen and play games and dance and show them around the school. The whole program is called Link Crew, and the Freshmen are "links". the jrs and srs are the link crew leaders. Heather and I were partners together (yay) and our theme (for the group) was a box of crayons LOL so we made 12 (plus me and heather) different colored t-shirts and paper hats and wrote, say,"hot pink" on the front and "crayola" on the back (of the tshirts, not hats lol).

so monday and tuesday were "training" days where they showed us wat to do and wat to say yadda yadda. it was from like 4-10. SIX HOURS! YEAH! u would wonder wat ur gonna do for 6 hrs straight, but if anything, we needed more time, but in the end it all worked out. we got our green tshirts that said we were link crew leaders (bc frosh have the same but in white-and it doesnt say "link crew leader" on the back)and we also hafta sell at least 2 "activities books" (a book full of coupons basically) so if ur interested, ask me for one, theyre $40 i think.

then wednesday and thursday were spent making our crayon outfits.......YAY CRAYONS!!!

friday was the big day!!! GRIZZLY RETREAT!!! (0ur mascott is a grizzly bear, thats y its the grizzly retreat) so here was a run-down of the whole day:
1:00-arrive for a pre-retreat meeting (booooring! lol jk its for last minute questions n stuff)
1:45 - meet and greet freshman (and it was funny, i would hold out my hand for a high-five and there were two types of ppl: one kind would high-five back enthusiastically and the other would just stare at me like i was an alien or something LOL but its like: "UR FRESHMEN! UR NOT COOL NO MATTER WAT U DO! GET USED TO IT!!!" if anything, the enthusiastic frosh were cool! :DDD and while i was doing this, heather would go up to like each and every one and be all "hi im heather, wats ur name" and shake their hand and it was so funny to see their faces!!! most of them stared at her like she was weird and walked off! LOL)
2:00ish-frosh showed up (some there early)
2:25- go to gym and make a tunnel (of linkcrew leaders so the frosh can run under while high-fiving etc)
2:30-frosh came thru tunnel and there was like a "welcome to GBHS" rally and we got in our Link Crew Groups. me and heather were group 46 and had 10 kids: 4 girls, 5 boys, then one boy who didnt have a group, so he just joined ours (and Coincidently he lives a few doors down from us... O_o weird lol)
3:50-we got in our crayon costumes, and went on a school tour and showed the kids where their classes are
4:50-we went to individual rooms (the different groups) and our group went to the wrestling room and we played many games so we could learn each others names and "life stories" and maybe if we have time, some time, heather and i can teach u guys the games-they were fun!-but the name games will be easier bc we all already kno each others names LOL
5:45-snack break (and me and heather found katie, hannah and catherine and hung out w/ them and shared stories)
6:00-in the gym was another rally w/ cheerleaders and the drill team and a (cheesy) video on GBHS and how cool our school is yadda yadda
6:45-dinner! PIZZA! YAY! :DDD
7:30-DANCE! thats rite-DANCE!! that was fun as well, and cool enough- the song "Must of Done Something Right" by Relient K played, but the rest were secular, but what do you expect? o ya, and im so glad i took this "job" as a link crew leader, bc we (me and heather) met this new girl named Taralin and she just moved in from the country and didnt have any friends so we introduced her to katie and her friends and hopefully she'll stay friends w/ us--im just glad we made her feel welcome, and it looked like she had a good time. so thats good :DDD
9:00-it ended and the frosh went home
after that, us leaders had to clean up the campus and gym etc and had a "Go Link Crew"-type meeting at the end. we'll stay connected to our links and tell them when other events are going on and we'll send them like bday cards and stuff and hopefully they'll all have a good experiance at GBHS. :DDD

ALL-IN-ALL:
-it went well
-we had fun
-they had fun (i hope)
-it was a good experiance for us all

...so u home-schoolers are missin out! haha jk
and im wondering, does like woodcreek and other schools do the same type of thing?

This Sunday...

k, so im gonna try to keep this blog short-so ill get to the point: I've said this like a hundred times...and im really sorry.... but we're not gonna be @ church this Sunday!!!!!!! (as u all scream in unison:AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!) i kno, i kno, what i said: "we'd FINALLY go this Sunday"--but it just so happens that we're goin to Nana's house (my dads mom) from friday and coming back late on Sunday :((( sooooo sorry all, again. but for sure FOR SURE (fo sho? haha) we ARE gonna go 2 church the Sunday after that. if not, u have permission to kill me. :DDD

o, and Zack and Josiah: i gave ur burned Flyleaf CDs to bj--so bug him about it on Sunday so he can give them to u :DDD and ill just say "your welcome" in advance :D ENJOY!

and if any of you girls do/dont kno already:
there is a girls youth bible study (jr/sr high) on tuesdays from 7-8pm @ carlys apartment. this past tuesday it was just me, emily and sydni so we NEED MORE GIRLS TO SHOW UP!! SO GIRLS-IF YOU'RE OUT THERE-COME PLS! ITS REALLY FUN! WE HAD BROWNIES!!1 LOL! i kno katie will come next time, and heather, so that leaves us with bailey (and bethany) and rachel that i kno of. CMON GUYS... or i guess i should say GIRLS! and we (the Sippel's) can pick any of u up on our way over there if u need. i dont think theres gonna be a meeting this tuesday, because me and emily are gonna be gone, but for sure the next tuesday we'll start it again. contact carly (or josiah) for more info (or me too, since i kno about it)

"Something on My Mind"

YAY! My first blog in August! haha

ok so the title is spoofing the song "something on my mind" by hawk nelson...but im not gonna sing...sorry. :D
its jus gonna be a summary of stuff (y i havnt been on etc so i wont hafta keep tellin everyone)
aka-u dont hafta read/comment if u dont want to :DDD

ok soooo friday (8/1)was party preparations and saturday(8/2) was MY SWEET 16 PARTY! YAY! well, ok im already 16, but this was a belated-belated party (6/14). so it was from 12-4 and a bunch of my friends and i swam and had pizza and a reeeaaallllyyy good marble (chocolate and vanilla) cake. it was really fun! and im sooo happy! i have like books 1-7 now of PENDRAGON! YAY! (even tho im only on book 3...haha i got a while to go....) and other presents included beautiful jewelry and drawing supplies! yay! not to be bragging, sorrry, but overall the party was SUPER FUN! now my house is a mess...but o well :DD o and after the party, our two neighbors next door (Lucas[13] and Jacob[9]) came over to swim with michael then me and heather swam too and it was funny bc we were having water gun fights and then 1/2 way through Jacob joins me and heather and we fought(SP? LOL) lucas and michael. then after jacob (i think he liked the attention) bc he let us style his hair in a mini-fohawk! hahah and we got pics and everything! :DDD it was funny!!

O YA! THAT WAS THE OTHER THING! on friday, my mom, katie, michael and i went to see the latest Mummy movie: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor!!! it was soooo cool! i really liked it! well, ok u'd hafta be a mummy (or brandon fraser) fan to really enjoy it--which me and my mom are! lol .... and no zack, sorry zohan was a stinkbomb! lol

umm lets see...heather made some more posts (FINALLY) and so u guys should check 'em out! :D (its a spectacular event when heather makes a blog-which is like never-bc shes so slow...i mean uhh...haha)

haha starting tomorrow katie cant get on the computer! haha good luck w/ that one!

oo! oo! and i bought the Flyleaf CD YAY so i hav like a buncha their songs, so if u guys want me to burn a CD fo u guys then ill be more than happy 2 :D (ps ty bj for the Falling Up CD :DDD)

as for our mystery friends....ehh idk. i saw saul had a new blog, and idk wat happend to fred...or raspberry for that matter...AND WAT WAS WITH MR MIYOGI? i cant even go to his page! he kept saying: GO TO MY PAGE!! and its like....yaaa we kinda cant...sorry? lol

-Rachael (the whole "Bambi" thing is getting old and katie says its a "forced nickname" that dosnt stick...but that means i dont have a nickname--dangit! so im open to nickname ideas...or one will just come along the way ... and bj-dont u DARE suggest "short stuff" ok? bc IM NOT SHORT!!! My Weird Dream... O_o

ok, so i think it was, monday night, when i slept over @ heathers, i had a dream...and it was weird. and when i say weird--i mean W-E-I-R-D!

so wat happend was, for watever reason, me, katie, michael and bj were looking at old pictures in an apartment and we were all sitting at the table (where pics were skattered everywhere).

weird huh? haha jk thats not the part. :DDD

so then, for watever reason (why i would, idk) i hug bj O_o ya...i kno. weird.

so anyway, after i hug him, he starts crying!!! me and katie then look at him all shocked!! well wouldnt u be?? its like, "am i so terrible that he cries after i hug him???" hahahhahaha
then he gathers his stuff and leaves!!! LOL while still crying!!! WEIRD HUH?? well, funny now looking back at it... but i remember waking up, remembering it, and then laughing while heather looks over at me (she was already awake) and asks me if im ok LOL and i explain it to her haha

so then, i think it was earlier today, i emailed bj this and this was the conversation:

A Summary of so far...(a bunch of things)

ok this post is for a bunch of things, mainly bc i have no time to write a bajillion posts for a bunch of subjects, and i already have enough as it is...

so sunday was the funeral for my aunt. :( but truthfully, not to sound harsh or anything, but i was more sad when i saw pics of my aunt w/ my grandma and grandpa (my moms parents, and since jill is her sister, they're jills parents) and both grandparents are decesed as well, so it brought back some memories that made me tear up. i also cried more for uncle greg and his 3 boys (including trent) because however hard it is for my family, its like 50 TIMES WORSE for them. she was their mom/wife anyway. no matter how annoying she was to us and them, we will all miss her and pray that she was sincere in her beliefe and is with God right now and freed from her pain and suffering. :D after that we went to their house to meet family on gregs side and talk with other ppl. we went to dinner with family friends then got back home late. so thanks again for your support guys and having us in your thoughts and prayers--it really means alot to us--i love our church, how loving and supportive it is! we never got anything like this from Adventure Christian Church. u guys are the best! :DDD

monday and tuesday i slept over @ heathers so i couldnt blog n stuff on here... so ive spent like this whole day catching up on comments n stuff-STOP WRITING SO FAST PPL! GEEZ! lol

also yesterday, tuesday, was my parents 19th anniversary! yay! we're gonna go out to dinner this friday :DDD

today, i watched A Knights Tale, starring Heath Ledger--good movie! its funny and exciting! i think i liked it because it kinda reminded me of the Princess Bride-how the main guy in a way "chases" after "his love". and i found it funny when they would take things from modern day (like the *stomp* *stomp* *clap* we will, we will, rock you!) that you would think they didnt have back then LOL so overall it was an enjoyable movie ^-^

and saturday is my 16th bday party! (a little late, 6/14, but better late then never! lol) so a bunch of my GAL friends from school and other family friends r gonna come over for a swim party/BBQ :DD fun fun! [THERE, HAPPY NOW, BJ?]

this is a blog subject i never really thought about making bc i didnt kno if anyone would be interested...

its my fav book series, and ive been reading it for over a year now :DDD
i, myself, am on book 1 (The Sight) of the third series (Power of Three) and lovin every single word of it! i hav all the books, including the 4 manga comics and 3 special books that tell more about warriors. im not bragging, im jus saying this ahead of time so i dont have to comment on my own post tellin u guys bout my luv for warriors :DDD

and yes, my icon/pic/thingy is of Leafpool, and it says: "Out of the Darkness, and Into the Sky" dont ask me wat it means bc idk i jus found it and thot it was cool! :D

my fav character is Leafpool, daughtor of Firestar and Sandsorm, sister of Squirrelflight
second fav would hafta be either cinderpelt (bc shes "reincarnated") firestar(bc he jus plain rocks) feathertail(even tho she died) or jaypaw (bc hes witty)

my fav clan is of course thunderclan, only bc theyre like the "good guys" but riverclan has won my affection many times over.

i luv reading about the characters and conflicts that mold and change and grow over the course of the books-like seeing tigerstars plans to destroy thunderclan reveal themselves and crumble many times over; the clans-when they had to move their camps to totally different and new locations; and the proof of ones loyalty to their clan proven many times over.

some things i thought were intersting though was that starclan was, i think in a way, related to Heaven, and then the dark forest where tigerstar and his son, hawkfrost now walk reminds me of Hell....but im not sure if that means anything... or the author(s) intended it to be that way...

i also found it cool how leafpool and squirrelflight could communicate through feelings; and how firestar had dreams from starclan, even though he wasnt a medicine cat; and how jaypaw can see even though hes blind; and how cinderpelt died but was "reincarnated" into cinderpaws (one of sorreltails kits) body. crazy stuff, huh? :D

sorry if that was an overload of information, but like i said, i LUV the warriors series!!! and im not afraid to say im a "warriors nerd" because-im not even kidding-ill take these where ever i go-even in the grocery store- and walk around w/ my nose stuck in a warriors book

and on one last note-these books arent just all about kittens and "aww how cute" and "its a girly book". oooooh no. it is definately a fighting, sometimes graphic, exciting series that makes u read 'em until ur waiting impatiently for the next one to come out. :)

and if ur still not convinced, and cats are jus not ur thing, then hav a look at Hunters other new series called "Seekers". my brother, michael, started reading this and he says he likes it. its about a polar bear, grizzly bear and black bear who go about adventures trying to save their families and home situations. definatly worth a look-at. :D

and if ur still still not convinced, then read the Pendragon books (www.thependragonadventure.com) but ill hafta do another blog about that series L8r :DDD

Uncovering the REALLY REAL Identity of "Saul"

apologies for not being on every-single day, but my mom gets kinda mad if we're on the computer all day n stuff, so it'll hafta be a every-other-day type thing.

but back to the main subject...

so all day yesterday, while i wasnt on the computer, i spent time thinking on who could possibly be this mysterious "saul" character. as i paced up and down the hallway, the false clues and events were running through my head. i seriously thought it was josiah-the facts were SOOO close!!! but when he responed to my email with a "no", i was thrown WAY off! while still wondering who it could be, i contacted my Colleague BJ (aka Young Buffalo). we talked the subject matter over the next hour, and with new facts, a new suspect, and a sense of hope, we came to the conclusion that CARLY (josiah's girlfriend) is "Saul". *dun-dun-DUUUNNN*

ok, so that was a little over-exaggerated on what happened yesterday, except for the fact that bj and i really did talk it over. earlier emails with rachel also confermed our new suspicions. i would have figured it out earlier, but i didnt go to that service where u guys learned about saul, so i didnt kno who was there. well it just-so-happens that Carly was there, thanks to michael-except he told me just yesterday;a little too late for my liking. so since we've concluded it WASNT josiah, but he definately knows something, it must be somebody he knows. and since it couldnt possibly be anyone else, it MUST be carly-and maybe josiah helped her along the way or something.

the question now is WHY? why would a fake account be created under the false name of saul? and a girl at that? and is sauls #1fangirl gonna still end her msgs in "SAUL!!!"? and if everything after 11 is pronounced "somethingty-one" (twenty-one,thirty-one), why isnt 11 pronounced onety-one???
O_o these are the questions that haunt me O_o

so, we've reached an impass; a moment of truth: "Saul", do u confess that u are, in fact, Carly???

NINELIVES Ideas

aiight, aiight, enough about saul. lets give him a break for a while. this post is to ask you guys what Bible verses i should start putting in my NINELIVES comics.

now that ive established characters, personalities, background, etc. im thinking about putting in a little moral/lesson while im at it. it'll be a good way for the reader and I to learn verses and tell about God in a cute, fun way!

so my plan is, have one verse per comic, or somewhere along those lines. it will go something like this: a kitten lies to the mom and then she reads a verse about being honest or something like that. maybe not every comic will end up like that, some will remain a little slapstick joke for comidic relief. but i want to reach out to other viewers, more than just little kids who like cartoons.

so if u guys have any ideas, post them up with a situation and a verse-or if you just have a random idea for my comic that'd be great too! id love to hear your opinions and ideas!

So he’s trying to get us to think that this kid isn’t in HS, so u immediately think younger than that-but “saul” could be OLDER as well… well Josiah isn’t in HS and he didn’t say this kid wasnt older than HS.

Aanndd Josiah was there on Sunday (I wasn’t, but Katie told me) and he said “Saul” was “created” after that Sunday school class by someone that was there. Josiah is trying to get us to think it was someone who showed up once on that Sunday, but if you think about it, Josiah was still there on that Sunday.


Plus, how does Josiah know so much about our little buddy “Saul”?

ok soooo....sorry jordan, but "kayzar" says what saul wrote is "too deep" for u. hes not saying ur dumb, ur not, but i kinda agree--it seems too deep for anyone of our age.

now i could be wrong (*sigh* which i probably am, for the thousandth time), but suspicions lead me to believe that "saul" is one of a few people:

-Josiah (i think hes saul)

i can cross jordan, nate and brady off the list.....but then agian they could be tricking us (well ok, maybe nate isnt tricking us....lol jk)

ok we might not go to church tomorrow, and this is why:

this is a true story that happened to my aunt jill (my moms sister) and her youngest son trent. im shakey typing this now because we just recieved the information @ 10pm tonight. [its 10:30-ish right now]

so earlier, family friends came over for a BBQ. It was my dad, mom, michael (katie was at a friends bday party) and then "auntie" dar [my moms best friend since forever, and our "aunt"]and her niece sammie. @ 8pm, the tv was turned on to the avatar season finale(like I've advertised millions of times) and we (the kids)watched it (me and heather talking on the phone to each other about it the whole time) until near the end, we got a phone call from my aunt jill's husband (uncle greg) and since we screen our calls, he starts to leave a message saying he needs to talk to us, that its urgent and as he was ending his message, i could tell his voice was shakey, so then dad walks into the room and picks it up and we turn off avatar right away and i hang up with heather. we (my brother, sammie, and i) watch my dad sit down and nod and listen to uncle greg on the phone, knowing its terrible news. to our horror, we discover its about our aunt jill and cousin trent who got in a boating accident earlier this evening. apparently jill died when she hit the water and trent was injured very badly, but is expected to live. i immidiately went to my room to call heather and told her whats going on, tears welling in my eyes. i know this sounds really fake and like a story, but its real-terribly real. :( so up until now we found that news report on the website i have a link to, and the news channels are up on our tv now, even sammie and heather and "auntie" dar were sad for us, and idk if they even knew them.

the story gets even sadder: my aunt jill is an acoholic-practically kicked out of her real home and "stable environment" home-so we're not entirely sure she is a christian or knows God.

as for my cousin, right now, they say he might live. hes in a hospital right now, and we're gonna see him tomorrow possibly.

pls pray for my cousin, his family (uncle greg, cousin preston, and cousin grant), and for us.

AVATAR SEASON FINALE TONIGHT!!!

the title pretty much explains it all.

The season finale is called Sozin's Comet and is gonna be four episodes all together(Chapters 18, 19, 20, 21): hence the reason why its gonna be a two hour long movie(July 19 at 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM) "Its all about Aang learning that he must confront his mortal enemy, the Firelord[Ozai], earlier than planned. As the comet nears, he prepares mentally and physically for the attack, but only time will tell if he has the heart to take the Firelord's life. "MAMMA MIA! HERE WE GO AGAIN!"

ok so on friday (yesterday) my friend teresa and i were gonna see the new "movie version" of brodway play mamma mia, except only one thing-it was opening day. when we pulled up to the UA we found a HUGE crowd of ppl waiting for, not only mamma mia, but that new batman movie. well, we get up to the counter and ask for the 7:30 show only to find out that they're all sold out until the 10:30 show!!! it was actually kinda funny, because the next 3 familys behind us would come up to ask for mamma mia and the poor ticket booth guys would have to keep saying no. eventually, they put up signs to say both movies were sold out untill 11:00 and 10:30. it was funny!

so unfortunately we didnt go to that one, but we did end up going to the century 14 to see JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH. starring Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutcherson, and Anita Briem. it was actually really good-even if it wasnt in 3D (which is an option for the IMAX theater. id advise anyone to see it! no cuss words, no sexual references-nothing to offend anyone at all! it was actually refreshing to watch in a way and im glad i saw it. im definately gonna own it on DVD and would reccomend it to anyone who likes action and adventure.

Movies

Ok so lately there have been quite a few movies that have come out, some really good, some not even worth seeing. I've seen some of them and I'm just gonna say a few things about them.

Ironman: AWESOME MOVIE! its the first one i saw with Brent (and heather tagged along lol). Later the family and I saw it--its that good to see it twice! Its definately a superhero movie with a refreshing twist-it doesnt have to do with a nerdy teen who discovers powers, its actually a mid-30-year-old man who creates a superhero robot suit to defeat terrorists and a super robot bad guy. I dont want to give too much away, but its definately worth seeing and even buying when it comes out on DVD. Marvel triumphs again!!!

Dont Mess With the Zohan: A STINKBOMB! Not only was it totally wrong but offensive to all types of people. I gotta admit it was funny-only the parts they show on the commercials. It was a waste of money and i wouldnt even reccomend seeing it on DVD because it was just terrible-for all ages! I saw this with my biology group (Brent, Daniel, Holly, Karen, Ashley, and Heather) and when we walked out-it was silent-i mean DEAD silent, as in awkward. Usually you would be saying, "oh i liked the part when..." but there was NOTHING good about this movie. Definately not for Christian audiances-or ANY one at all. Hardly worth seeing, hardly rated pg-13, this movie was terrible and shouldnt have even made it to theaters.

Wall-E: I haven't seen this one, but from what ive read and heard its a cute movie. how could anything from PIXAR be anything BUT cute!!! i definately cant wait to see it and own it on DVD!!! [and no, wall-e is not a murdering robot who, before striking, says in a creepy voice "wwaaaaallllll-eeeee" lol BJ and Michael]

The Incredible Hulk: Suprisingly very good! You'd think it would be a remake of the remake, but amazingly-no. With a whole new cast, special effects and crew, this almost-sequal topped my expetations! At the beginning it shows flashes of what happened-as in how he got "hulk powers" then it takes it from there. It shows him hiding out from the USmilitary in a small town in Brazil, learning to control his anger and learning fighting techniques. He is found and chased all over the place by the USmilitary, leading him to find old friends-and girlfriend. Similar to any superhero movie, a good guy (i wont tell you who) is overcome by his greed and becomes an "evil hulk" forcing the real hulk to battle him ending in a vitorious win for the good guys! Me and Brent saw it and both enjoyed it very much! Another A+ for Marvel! Im very much glad i saw this instead of getsmart, which is what we were originally going to see, but after reading reviews, changed our minds. Im glad too!

Get Smart: I almost saw this one, and Im glad i didnt. I read reviews on it and, well, it didnt seem too enjoyable. People who saw it were disappointed-they said it was NOTHING like the old TV series and there are a bunch of inappropriate quirks in it that make it that much less enjoyable. Thats kinda sad because the commercials made it look really funny; But I've already learned that lesson-definately read the reviews first! If worth viewing, definately rent it on DVD, Netflix or something, but pls dont waste your money and see it.

Indiana Jones: Again, i havent seen this one, but it sounds good too. Adventure, suspense, action, heroic events-this movie has it all. It also ties all the movies together and in a cleaver way is not disappointing. Again, Indy finds another artifact that he has to find and with the help of his ~~~SPOILER~ALERTsonSPOILER~ALERT~~~ and other old friends, finds it. Even though im not a big fan of indy, i might wanna rent it on Netflix. Who knows, it might be better than i think!

MY FIRST BLOG!!!

ok so this is my first blog...obviously. O_o umm right now im just kinda playing around with stuff, watching new avatar, commenting on Rachel, Katie, and BJ's blogs and stuff like that. Im still figuring this stuff out so if u wanna help me out, pls leave a comment, like how do i get new template stuff, and other cool stuff: blogs, pictures, and idk. I guess i'll just ask katie when she gets home from colorguard.

In other news, I FINALLY finished drawing my mv (music video) for "Life After Death" by KJ-52. I'll have my dad scan it at work and get it on a powerpoint and up on my website (www.ninelivesadventures.net) in the next coupla days!
